Zits Popping

Are You Supposed to Pop Zits?

Why is there so much hue and cry about popping zits anyway? Simple. Anything that has got to do with the face and directly or indirectly affects its appearance is bound to generate this reaction. There are basically some reasons that are drawn which explain why zits popping is not good.

Reason # 1
Popping a zit (especially if done without taking precautionary measures) will push the germs that have come up as pus, further into the skin. This will in turn cause redness, swelling and pain. So much so that it might even lead to a skin infection.

Reason # 2
A zit which is pop-worthy will be filled with pus, will be painful to touch and yellow or white in color. The pus that is in the zit is made up of dead cells, bacteria and sebum. When the zit is popped, the pus can spread around the area of the zit and onto your face and block more pores, which in turn can lead to more zits and blackheads.
